Our Upcoming Courses

Specialized Leadership within the Context of the Charity Sector This is a series of five training courses that focus on the topic of specialized leadership within the context of the charity sector for the Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities (RACA). This executive course trains 30 leaders from various Qatar-based charitable institutions and is delivered in partnership with the HBKU College of Islamic Studies (CIS).

Leadership in Public Health

This is a training program customized for the Ministry of Public Health’s (MOPH) executives on public health leadership. The program comprises four courses designed and delivered in partnership with HBKU’s College of Health and Life Sciences (CHLS) and the Graduate Institute, Geneva (GIG).

Leadership Academy of Development (LAD) Program

The Executive Education Center (EEC) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) in partnership with the Leadership Academy for Development (LAD) at Stanford University, is offering a training program on the important topic of public policy reform. The course will take place in Doha in March 2023 and will be delivered by distinguished experts from the world’s most prominent institutions.

Library Services

  • Access Services: HBKU librarians assist users in accessing the library collection as well as resources that are beyond the collection via the following services:
  • Reference Services: The HBKU library offers a variety of reference services to support its users in their academic and research endeavors. The services are available online or in person within the library premises.
  • Circulation Services: The circulation services consist of borrowing, renewing, returning, and reserving print items (books, journals, etc.) at the library. Transactions take place at the circulation desk at the entrance of the library.
  • Information Literacy and Library Instruction: The HBKU Library delivers instruction sessions, training, and workshops for HBKU students, faculty, researchers, and staff members, consisting of basic and advanced information literacy skills, citation management, research skills, and other related topics as needed, supporting the learning objectives at HBKU.
  • Interlibrary Loan: An interlibrary loan allows HBKU students, faculty, and researchers to obtain print or physical books and other resources available from other libraries within Education City, provided that the items are not available within the HBKU Library collection.
  • Citation Management: Citation Management tools help users collect, organize, tag, annotate, share, and cite various types of sources. They also help create in-text citations and properly formatted bibliographies in almost any style in a few seconds.
  • Reserve a Group Study Space: The library provides three group study and presentation spaces, some of which offer audiovisual capabilities to meet users’ needs. The spaces are accessible upon reservation through the library booking portal.
  • PhD Study Carrel: The HBKU Library allocates study carrels with desktops for HBKU PhD students to reserve in order to help them focus on their course work and dissertations.
  • Document Delivery Service:Document Delivery Service provides users with research and study materials (articles, books, chapters, proceedings, reports, etc.) that are not available at HBKU Library.
