What is Pre-U?
Pre-U offers a broad array of activities where you can get your first experience with scientific education and help with choosing a study program. At Pre-U, university students work with a lot of enthusiasm to help get students like you ready for studying at a university. Our activities are planned and given by those students. The target group of pre-university is Dutch education, so the activities are mainly in Dutch.

Within our program, you can join all sorts of activities, individually as well as with the rest of your classmates. Our activities are divided into five themes: Management & Society, Behaviour & Health, Engineering & Design, Science & IT and academic skills. Within these themes, you can find all sorts of activities. The Pre-U programme offers at the moment some activities in English:

At Faculty ITC and The Campus Of The University Of Twente, You Can Enjoy Many Cultural Events, Sports And Social Activities.
Student Association Board
An elected Student Association Board (SAB) represents the ITC student body on academic and non-academic issues and organizes social activities.
Social And Cultural Events
Three yearly events that attract considerable interest and are a great deal of fun are the international cultural evening when course participants perform traditional musical and dance routines from their home countries; the international sports day, which brings together competitors from all the international education institutes throughout the Netherlands; and the international food festival, when course participants prepare traditional gourmet dishes for anyone within the ITC community to try.
Excursions are arranged for major tourist attractions in the Netherlands and neighbouring countries.
Sports enthusiasts will be in their element, with modern facilities available for indoor soccer, basketball, badminton, volleyball, fitness, squash, etc.

Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible to apply for these Scholarships, the applicant students must hold a Bachelor’s degree.
- The University of Twente issued an admissions invitation to the applicants to enroll in one of the qualified UT Master’s programs.
- To qualify for a scholarship, students must have at least 50% of their credits from Europe.
- The Students must possess a certificate of English proficiency.

To be eligible for the University of Twente scholarship, you must meet all the following conditions: Be part of the top 5 to 10% of your promotion. You have not graduated from a graduate program at UT. You comply with the conditions for obtaining an entry visa to the Netherlands.
Once you applied for a Master’s programme and received a (conditional) admission letter, you can apply for the scholarship with your student number. UTS is not available for Dutch and/or current UT students. The UTS is not available for EU/EEA students.
University of Twente in the Netherlands requires students to maintain a minimum GPA of 3.2 in order to stand a good chance of getting admission into the University of Twente.
The acceptance rate for the University of Twente is 54%
For pursuing a bachelor’s program you must have 6.0 IELTS and 80 on TOEFL exams. For pursuing a master’s you will be required to have 6.5 on IELTS and 90 on TOEFL.
