Admission and Registration

• Admitted with conditions: If you have conditions for admission, you must demonstrate that you meet the prerequisites before you can register.
• Reserve: If you are placed on reserve, you must first be offered a place before you can register.
• Withdrawal : If you have accepted your place but are no longer interested in it, it is important that you withdraw your offer. If you want to withdraw your offer but have not yet registered , you must do so at antagning.se. If you have already registered , you should instead contact the institution that offers the course.
• Deferral: If you have been accepted but will not be able to start, you can apply for a deferment of the start of your studies.
• This means that you apply to postpone the start of your studies and start the education in another semester.
• Late registration : You who have made a late registration must wait for your notification of admission before you can go ahead and create a student account and register.

Campus Card

The campus card is a personal multifunctional card with a photo for entry, access to premises and printouts and more. Everyone who studies or works at the university must have a campus card. In order to be able to order a card, you must have a current registration and activate your user account at Uppsala University.

You order campus cards via a service portal that you log into. When you have placed your order, you will be notified via e-mail when you can pick up your card at the reception on campus. To collect your campus card, you need to be able to show approved ID and have a current course registration.

Accept The Rules

You must first approve Uppsala University’s rules to obtain your campus card. Please read the rules before selecting “Yes” in the drop-down menu to confirm that you agree to them.

Select PIN Code

In order for you to be able to use the card as an access card to computer rooms and front doors after closing time, you must choose a PIN code. The code must have four digits. Choose a code you remember. Enter the code in the “PIN” field found under the “Edit my data” tab.

Stava Rex is a program that corrects spelling and grammar errors in Swedish text. Stava Rex is specially developed for people with dyslexia and reading and writing difficulties, but can be used by anyone who wants help with spelling.

SpellRight is a correct spelling program in English. It corrects English spelling and grammar errors. It is developed for use by those writing in English as a second language and for people with reading and writing difficulties. But it’s good for anyone who needs help with their spelling.

Student Insurance

As a student, you may be entitled to sickness benefit if you fall ill. Different rules apply to studies with and without study support. As a student, you are covered by certain insurances, but also take out your own insurance that covers your free time.

Sickness Benefit

To be entitled to sickness benefit, you must have a so-called sickness benefit qualifying income (SGI). The sickness benefit is based on your SGI and is determined by Försäkringskassan based on the estimated annual income. How your sickness allowance is calculated depends on how you work or have worked before your studies.

Sick Leave With Study Funds

If you have study funds, you can keep them during the time you are ill and cannot study at all. If you are ill for more than 30 days in a row and your studies suffer, you can get a deduction from your student debt. The point requirement towards CSN can also be reduced by the number of weeks you are on sick leave.
